The Window of
Cognitive Imbalance: On the thought that
Cognition is a fully gimbaled physiological presence.
Cognitive gimballing is only every in a “steady state” for
finite periods of the time, and this should not to be confused with a state of rest. The gimbals impact on True-bias can manifest
at any of the gimbal point, creating destabilizing effects. Depending the degree of destabilization,
defined here to mean: the degree of bias away from what would ordinarily be
referred to as a steady state, the degree of bias can have any number of
cognitive impacts, which include an enhanced lucidity of the more ethereal considerations,
and a chance opportunity, a Window possibly, to potentially capitalize on this
degree of bias away from the norm, to intellectually explore thoughtful angles
of subject meditation, which, without the in-place bias may or may not be:
1.
Noticed
2.
Seized
3.
Engaged
The degree of bias is established by the friction of the gimbaling mechanism and the method of arriving at a state of imbalance.
In this paper, the consideration will be in regards to the
empirical observations of a state of cognition that is naturally off of a
True-level( absence of bias), and the wavelike proliferations that ebb and flow
as this cognitive presence tips into bias by the withdraw of stabilization
measures, and the subsequent journey back to zero-bias.
It should be noted, probably up top, that “bias” in this
context is a reference to the physical nature of a gimbaled object, like a
ships compass, that will remain with no “tilt” or angularization assuming that
the instrument of gimbal is operating correctly. And as a mechanical device would experience,
if a stabilization mechanism provided by the gimbal begins to malfunction, so
will the compass begin to exhibit tilt, or bias, and if this bias is accepted (or
not, but followed anyway), the NEW course, in consideration of the random bias,
will most assuredly send the vessel to someplace that was not forecast or
expected. What always remains to be seen
is: where will the vessel voyage, what if anything of value will be
encountered, if encountered, will it be noticed and considered, and
subsequently articulated, and will the voyage indeed result in a roundtrip. Such is the same with cognition. Assuming an “unsteady state of rest”, or “natural
imbalance”, that is only “trued” by way of mechanical gimbalization assistance,
the voyage begins as the gimbals are no longer cared for, and the bias, begins
to present, but with no guarantee as to angularization, debilitation, or the
holy grail: balanced imbalance: a state of rest, that is more nature that one “trued”,
but non-debilitating, and the nearly immediate catalyst to all sorts of biased
perceptions( sensory and cognitive).
Further, it will be examined as what part of the bias introduction and
consequence is the most productive: the unnatural state of balanced imbalance,
the journey invoked by the onset of bias, a time of complete bias, seemingly
static, but never actually, or the return back from complete bias to unnatural
balance.
The greatest mistake that one can make in considering the
ebb and flow of cognitive lucidity and potential for proliferation, during the descent/ascent,
to/from total bias, is to assume with enough certainty, that zero-bias is the
most desired of cognitive states.
