But on this day, we are the leaders.  We are the ones driving to the front

Eat or be eaten, the buffet of change is at our doorstep

We will eat until we are full, gorging ourselves on fresh ideas and invention

We will thrive on the purest of energy that flows from knowing that we are right

We will not attempt to win the game playing defense alone, no we will go on the attack

While others plan in desperation for their own survival

We will emerge, as thought leaders, teachers, and sages

We will make our own destiny, and we will not buy the wares of the purveyors of doom and gloom

We will make the future in our own image, and others may follow in our footsteps,

Taking shelter from the winds of change in our wake

We are not afraid to go first, to blaze a glorious pathway into the future,

To find the way when others have stumbled and been lost

We will find opportunity where others cannot see past history

We see the patterns in the chaos that stops others in their tracks

We will transform opinion, we will create culture

We will lead others until they emerge from the darkness and can see with their own eyes the future

We will then look upon what we have created and know that we have conquered adversity

And only then will we pause to view the impact of our efforts, and decide the next course
